Rotary International President in Cedar RapidsJune 27, 2024 Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick gave a speech at the Czech & Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids. Her message was about the magic that Rotary can create throughout the world. Daybreaker's Brad Joens, Chad Charkowski and Brad Lang had the opportunity to meet Stephanie after her presentation.

Service Above Self Presentation 2024April 26, 2024 It is with great pleasure Daybreak Rotary awarded the following students with our Service Above Self Awards this morning! The Service Above Self Recognition seeks students that have shown service leadership and achievement beyond the arena of academics, sports or other commonly recognized are as of performance. Each school selects the student who bes exemplifies the qualifty of a service attitude with in the areas of their school, neighborhood, faith, family and work community. Along with this recognition, Daybreak Rotary will make a $100 contribution to a qualifying non-profit organization of the student's choice. Congratulations to the 2024 recipients... Service Above Self Awards 2019Friday, April 26th, 2019, the Service Above Self recipients were honored at our 7am meeting. Recipients included: Chloe Olivia Kepros, Xavier High School Evan Griffith, Jefferson High School Fisto Nishimwe, Kennedy High School, Delanie Williams, Linn Mar High School (she was unable to attend) Rachel Wilkey, Marion High School Bradlee Miller, Metro High School Tiffany Yoder, Prairie High School Quinton Gay, Washington High School Each recipient chose a non-profit organization that received a $100.00 donation. These students have been active in their schools and community in many, many ways. Good luck in wherever your path takes you. |
Daybreak Distributes $65,000 From Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race2017 marked the 9th year that Daybreak Rotary coordinated its largest fundraiser, The Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race. Thanks to the community and our sponsors generous donations, the club donated $65,000 in proceeds from the fundraiser.
